He holds a Club Professional 3 certification (the highest club certification in Canada). Ryan is always looking to improve his knowledge of on court and off court training to help develop a better athlete and tennis player. Several of the players he worked with or was a hitter for achieved a top 10 ranking in Ontario in their age group. Ryan has worked with the TTA for the past 8 years, and in 2011-12 worked with the Ontario National Training Centre’s Under 8 and Under 9 program. In the fall of 2013 Ryan was part of a team of coaches representing Ontario at the Ace Cup tennis event helping Ontario’s best U12 players compete. Ryan has also travelled with players to ITF Junior Events around the world, and helped the players succeed and gain valuable ranking points/titles. Ryan competed on a tennis scholarship in the US at Bloomsburg University. During college Ryan helped his team win a conference championships as well reach the final 16 at the NCAA National Championships, earning him the All-Conference Player Award in both singles and doubles. After college, Ryan travelled playing Professional Tennis on the Futures Circuit and was ranked on the ATP Tour. During this time he was ranked top 25 in Canada in the open singles rankings.
